Welcome to the Magical Mister Mishkins series, set inside a very special Apothecary found on Mosaic Street. There are currently three books available in the series: Mister Mishkins’ Apothecary, The Magic of Mister Mishkins, and The Kindness of Mister Mishkins. Book four in the series will be out in autumn 2027.
The books are all based on Samantha’s real-life cat, Mister Mishkins. In fact, all the cats in the books are real, including Samantha’s own magical ‘M’ cats – Minski, Minski II and Merlin Cat. When Merlin Cat died in March 2021, Samantha said that he was, “sliding down rainbows with glitter coming out of his tail”. And that is how he first appears in the book.
Mister Mishkins is a magical cat, who runs an Apothecary on Mosaic Street – a place that mysteriously appears in town overnight and is only visible to those in need. Whenever anyone enters the Apothecary, Mister Mishkins listens as they share their troubles and fears, before turning to the rows of wooden drawers where, hidden within, is an eclectic mix of cats. These cats take whoever needs them on a journey of transformation, replacing negative emotions with hope, optimism, and a small sprinkling of magic.
These beautifully illustrated square books are 88pp in length. As well as being available in paperback, there are also limited edition hardbacks, hand numbered and signed by Samantha and Mister Mishkins. There are just 100 of these books available.
You can order the book in our shop, and do follow both Samantha and Mister Mishkins on social media so as not to miss out on any updates.
